DEFIANT! is a seven-piece scanner art series capturing the spirit of resistance. Each piece layers personal, ancestral, and spiritual imagery to explore what it means to stand firm.

The works include a witty handwritten poem on aged paper, my childhood sandal paired with carvings of Papa Legba and Ogou, and a raw self-scan of my face pressed into darkness — aware, unbroken. Together, they form a portrait of presence, ancestry, and refusal to be silenced.
